(I got denied four times)
There’s something that I didn’t realize going into this — getting verified on OnlyFans is not a simple process. And if you don’t follow it carefully, you might even get denied multiple times.
The platform requires you to complete a few things before becoming a creator:
- Enter your legal name and address
This needs to match your ID exactly. It won’t be shown publicly, even if you’re using an alias. It’s just for verification so they know you’re a real person (which is a good thing). From what I’ve seen, they don’t send anything to your address. - Link your social media accounts
They will not share your personal accounts. Side note— these accounts do need to have photos of you and can’t be brand new, or your account may be denied. - Upload a picture of your ID
This needs to be the clearest picture of your ID you’ve ever taken, seriously. You’d be surprised how picky they are when it comes to this (more on that in the next bullet). Make sure your ID isn’t expired and that the address you entered matches the one on your ID. - Upload a clear picture of you holding your ID
This part of the verification process delayed my application, and I had to reapply four times. I’ve seen people on Reddit get denied ten times or more for this point alone. Make sure your photo is high quality, has good lighting, and that your ID is clear. I read all of this beforehand and still submitted photos that didn’t meet the criteria, so let me explain further:- Don’t use the front camera on your phone for the selfie. This may be obvious to some, but it flips your ID, and you will get denied for this.
- Just because you can see your ID in the photo doesn’t mean it’s clear enough. Zoom in on the picture on a computer. Is the text blurry? Retake it. Try taking the photo with your ID right below your face so the camera focuses on both (this worked for me in the end).
- I’ve heard mixed things about this, but if you have your hair and makeup done in your ID, I recommend copying the same style for your photo. I didn’t have full makeup on in my photo (even though I did in my ID), and I still got verified.
Honestly, my first two denials could have been avoided if I had taken more time, but I was surprised to get denied the third time after fixing everything…
